The Phytochemical and Antifungal Efficiency of Bean Leaf and Root against Some Pathogenic Fungi Isolated from Spoilt Vegetables Sold within Anambra Metropolies

چکیده
Investigated in vitro were the phytochemical and antifungal properties of bean leaf root against certain pathogenic fungi isolated from spoiled vegetables marketed Anambra metropolises. By combining 100g, 100ml sterile distilled water, ethanol with each plant part, two (2) distinct extract concentrations produced component. The plants subjected to screening using several conventional techniques, which identified presence alkaloids, saponins, tannins, flavonoids, phytate, oxalate, phenol all but at various amounts. effects common antibiotics (Fluconazole 30 g/ml) compared those extracts. According a pathogenicity test, good rot was caused by Aspergillus niger, Fusarium solani, Penicillium sp, Rhizopus Mucor spp. beans turned out be more effective. extraction solvent, concentration, test pathogens had an impact on extract's effectiveness. When concentration rose, amount fungal growth inhibition also rose. All fungi's mycelia development effectively/highly inhibited root, although water extracts exhibited lower degree inhibition. Farmers should utilise ethanolic instead synthetic or commercial fungicides due their fungitoxic potential vegetable storage fungi.

Chemical fungicides are used worldwide for enhance crop yield and control plant diseases. When crops are treated with chemical fungicides over a long period then some fungi develop resistance to these chemicals beside this these chemicals are harmful to other non target microorganism and disturb microbial community of soil. In view of these facts, it is urgent need to discover eco friendly, ren...

Leptadenia pyrotechnica was evaluated for its antifungal activity against some pathogenic fungi. Extracts in different organic solvents were used for disc diffusion assay. Hexane and ethyl acetate extracts have showed maximum inhibition zone against A. niger (15mm and 12.2 mm respectively). Methanol extract showed maximum activity against F. oxysporium (13.0mm) and A. flavus (15mm) while aqueou...
متن کاملAntifungal Activity of Silver Nanoparticle in Different Sizes against Some Pathogenic Fungi
Skin infection caused by Tricophyton rubrum and some opportunistic fungi such as Candida. Albicance and Aspergillus. fumigatus occur in various parts of the body and sometimes are difficult to be treated. Antifungal effects of spherical silver nanoparticles (nano-Ag) were investigated in this study. Although silver nanoparticle has long been used as effective inorganic antifungal agent; the ant...
